Abstract

Emissions reduction hinges on dependence on massive growth in decarbonisation technologies within the framework of our understanding of our planetary hydrologic and planetary weather cycles. However, the increasing occurrence of extreme and variable weather events and the recent energy crisis has raised warning flags. Governments have developed many policies to drive this net zero or carbon neutrality transition. But what is, can or will business do to ensure this decarbonisation journey in an equitable manner? What way will environment sustainability governance by business and government regulatory agencies be managed to check the business systems. This seminar provides a personal perspective of the challenges businesses face, as well as other key stakeholders as we attempt to overcome the volatile unpredictable impacts of climate change on our natural and built environments.
