On the 22^nd of November 2023, ESI was delighted to welcome the delegation from the North China Electric Power University (NCEPU), including Prof LI Yanbin (Dean of the School of Economics and Management), Assoc Prof LIU Yuanxin (Deputy Dean of the School of Economics and Management), Assoc Prof JIAN Jianhui, Assoc Prof ZHANG Shuo, and Assoc Prof CHEN Siyuan. They met with Prof LEE Poh Seng (ESI Executive Director), Dr SU Bin (Senior Research Fellow and Division Head), Dr Roger FOUQUET (Senior Research Fellow and Division Head), Dr ZHONG Sheng (Senior Research Fellow) and Dr KIM Jeong Won (Senior Research Fellow).

NCEPU delegation shared their research in power grid management, energy finance, corporate finance and governance, energy internet and integrated energy system modelling, power market, carbon-neutral technology innovation, new energy technology and economic-environment assessment. ESI team shared the research programmes on “Technology Assessment & Decarbonisation Pathways”, “Energy Consumption, Carbon Accounting & Circular Economy”, “Strategies of Other Countries”, “Security of Supply” and “Carbon Pricing & Climate Finance”. Both parties were interested in exploring collaborations in power technology, power system analysis, and the power market.
