INAUGURAL CROSS-BORDER ELECTRICITY TRADE (CBET) WORKSHOP HOSTED BY ESI

The Energy Studies Institute (ESI) is pleased to announce the successful organization of the inaugural Cross-Border Electricity Trade (CBET) Workshop, held in Singapore on January 16-17, 2025. This workshop convened over 200 stakeholders across Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia to further the ASEAN Power Grid (APG) initiative, which is crucial for enhancing energy security, efficiency, and sustainability through cross-border electricity trading.
The workshop featured key sessions, including:
• Regional Collaboration Towards Achieving Sustainable CBET
• Technology Enablers for a Sustainable Regional Grid Network
• Economic Mechanisms & Benefits for Regional Renewable Energy Project Development
• Financial Ecosystem and Key Considerations for Cross-Border Electricity Trading
