RESEARCH FELLOWS

SON Minhee holds a PhD in Energy and Environmental Policy from the Graduate School of Energy and Environment (Green School) at Korea University, where she also completed her master's degree. Her doctoral research focused on the environmental impacts and cost-benefit analysis of end-of-life management for photovoltaic (PV) waste in South Korea. During her academic training, she participated in a range of research projects, cost-benefit analyses, life cycle assessments (LCA), and material flow analyses (MFA), developing a strong foundation in energy and environmental policy.
Currently a Research Fellow at the Energy Studies Institute, National University of Singapore, Minhee examines low-carbon strategies in countries surrounding Singapore and contributes to carbon accounting initiatives. Her research interests include accelerating carbon reduction through renewable energy adoption and emerging technologies such as CCUS and hydrogen, alongside the evaluation of national decarbonisation policies. She also conducts carbon accounting research across various sectors, including renewable energy systems, the built environment, and circular economy initiatives, using LCA methodologies.
