LEE Poh Seng (PS LEE) is a Dean’s Chair Professor with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS). His primary research interests are modeling and experimental investigations of high-performance cooling techniques (in particular single and two-phase microchannel cooling), energy efficient air conditioning system and low-grade waste heat recovery. The technologies developed by his group can be used to improve the energy efficiency and reduce the CO2 emissions of data centres, buildings and industrial applications.

Prof Lee is an Associate Editor of ASME Journal of Heat Transfer and IEEE Transactions on Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology (CPMT). He received his BEng and MEng in Mechanical Engineering from NUS in 1999 and 2001 respectively and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Purdue University, West Lafayette in 2007. He has been with NUS since 2007, and was Assistant Dean of Research & Technology from 2015 to 2020. Currently, he serves as Executive Director of Energy Studies Institute (ESI), Director of Centre for Energy Research & Technology (CERT) and Co-Director of Singapore Energy Centre (SgEC).
