Leanne holds the position of Research Associate at the Energy Studies Institute, concentrating on Energy and the Environment. Before her tenure at ESI starting in May 2024, she functioned as a senior chemical engineer in an SME dedicated to biochar production for carbon credit generation. Armed with an MEng in Chemical Engineering with Oil and Gas Technology from Heriot-Watt University Malaysia, Leanne also gained experience as an engineer in engineering consulting firms, ensuring clients operated in safe and environmentally conscious ways. In her current role, Leanne channels her expertise into pioneering research and solutions aimed at fostering a more sustainable future.
