Zhe Gong joined the ESI as a Research Fellow in September 2026. She received her PhD from the National University of Singapore in the same year. Her research focuses on energy equity and power system resilience, examining how power system planning and operational decisions can better protect vulnerable populations during extreme events and power disruptions. She holds a master’s degree from Tsinghua University and a bachelor’s degree from Shandong University, both in Electrical Engineering.
