Faadhil is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology and joined the Energy Studies Institute in August 2023. Prior to this appointment, he served as a System Design and Sales Engineer in the corporate sector, working with solar systems and small-scale solar wind hybrid power plants. His expertise includes system design, technical sales and commissioning of energy systems both in commercial and industrial settings.
During his undergraduate studies, Faadhil conducted research on piezoelectric energy harvesting shock absorber systems tailored for electric and hybrid vehicles. His research interests primarily revolve around renewable energy systems, their practical applications, energy storage solutions and exploration of innovative energy harvesting mechanisms.- Renewable Energy Systems
