We are pleased to announce that the NUS Centre for International Law, through the ESI-CIL Nuclear Governance Project, is collaborating with OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) to hold the International Nuclear Law Essentials (INLE) Course in Singapore in early 2018 (26 February – 2 March). Meeting with Nuclear Academics in 2017
On 30th June 2017, six members of the project team hosted an informal lunch meeting with seven academics from East Asia and beyond working on nuclear governance who were attending a conference hosted by the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.

Our guests were:

- Professor Hideaki Shiroyama, Professor Taketoshi Taniguchi and Dr Shunsaku Komatsukazi, all of the University     of Tokyo;
- Ms Shoko Tanaka of the Japan Forum on International Relations, Tokyo;
- Dr Yue Go, of the Harvard Belfer School;
- Mr Yuming Wei of Tsinghua University, Beijing;
- Ms Duygu Sever- Mehmetoğlu of Koç University, Istanbul.

The meeting provided an opportunity to learn about each other’s research agendas and laid the ground for future cooperation.
