49th Geography Teachers’ Association Annual Seminar

On 24 March 2018, Ms. Melissa Low, ESI Research Fellow, participated in the panel discussion titled Alternative Energy for a Sustainable Future held at The Ngee Ann Kongsi Auditorium, University Town, National University of Singapore. The event was organized by the Geography Teachers’ Association of Singapore on the occasion of its 49th Annual Seminar. Speaking alongside Ms. Kelly Chen, Head, Clean Tech, Economic Development Board Singapore; Mr. Lawrence Kwan, Vice-President, Sunseap Energy; and Ms. Gwyneth Tey, Deputy Director (Industry Development Department), Energy Market Authority Singapore, Melissa spoke about the challenges and solutions to energy sustainability in Singapore.

The panel was moderated by Assistant Professors Winston Chow and Lin Weiqiang from the NUS Geography Department. The event was attended by 100 secondary and pre-university geography teachers and tertiary students.
