ESI and US DOE co-organise SIEW Roundtable on Cybersecurity in the Energy Sector

On 30 October 2015, ESI and the US Department of Energy (DOE) jointly organised a Think-Tank Roundtable at Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) 2015 on “The Future of Energy Security: Opportunities & Challenges at the Cyber Energy Nexus”. This ESI–DOE Roundtable was moderated by Dr Elspeth Thomson, Senior Fellow and Head of the Energy and the Environment Division at ESI.

Speakers included Mr Vincent Loy, Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP; Dr Carol Hawk, Program Manager, The U.S. Department of Energy; Mr Michael Mylrea, Program/Project Manager, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory; and Mr Martin Lui, Deputy Director, CIIP Consultancy.

They addressed the latest policy initiatives and technological advancements tackling evolving cybersecurity threats and provided insights on how the international community can work together to secure global energy infrastructure.
