Call For Paper

Energy Efficiency Prosperity in ASEAN

May 15, 2018, 09:00 AM
With their total energy demand forecasted to grow by almost two-thirds over the next two decades, the ten countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) are set to become a significant game changer for the global energy landscape. Energy efficiency and productivity improvements are key strategies for ASEAN in transitioning to a sustainable energy system. Governmental authorities, research institutions, market agents and civil society would need to take action to respond to these strategies. Greater regional and international cooperation in energy efficiency across sectoral and national borders will contribute to the sustainable energy system in ASEAN.

The Energy Studies Institute (ESI) of National University of Singapore is pleased to announce a call for papers for a workshop on energy efficiency prosperity in ASEAN. The workshop will take place in September 2018 in Singapore. ESI also plans to partner with APEC energy working group to organise a co-located workshop on energy efficiency. Should this happen, you will be advised in due course.

We encourage enthusiastic researchers, policy experts and business specialists from ASEAN and beyond to submit abstracts. The following list includes, but does not limit to, topics we expect papers to address in an ASEAN context:
