Research Associate
Nur Azha PUTRA

Nur Azha Putra is a Research Associate with the Energy Security Division at the Energy Studies Institute, National University of Singapore. Prior to his appointment, he was an Associate Research Fellow at the Centre for Non-Traditional Security (NTS) Studies at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University, where he was the lead researcher on the Energy Security and the NTS-Plus programmes. Before joining RSIS, he was a Research Officer at the Centre for Research on Islamic and Malay Affairs (RIMA), a subsidiary and research wing of the Association of Muslim Professionals, Singapore. Before moving into the research field, he was a journalist with the Singapore Press Holdings's national Malay newspaper, Berita Harian and an Information Systems Officer at a regional brokerage firm.

Azha graduated from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, with a Master of Science in International Political Economy. He also holds a Bachelor of Information Technology from Central Queensland University, Australia.
