Research Highlights

Nguyen Phuong Linh joined the Energy Studies Institute in August 2010. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics from Nanyang Technological University. Her final year project on "Gender Differences and Prestige Effects in Charitable Giving - Experimental Evidence from Singapore" was awarded Best Thesis Prize (Economist Service) by the Ministry of Trade and Industry. She did an internship with Kim Eng Securities as an equity analyst, specialising in technical analysis and market commentaries. Her research interests include climate change, the oil market and the economic behaviour of electricity consumers.

Contributed to the section, “Development of Regional Trade in Southeast Asia” in Are We Entering a Golden Age of Gas? (Paris: International Energy Agency, 2011), pp. 77.

Liaised with Singapore Land Authority (SLA) on a collaborative work “Using GIS to Aid the Assessment of the Economic Viability of Solar Photovoltaic Investments in Singapore” (Singapore: SLA, W. Rachel, 2011).
