Nahim joined the Energy Studies Institute in July 2011. He holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Economics (1st Class Honours) with a double major in Political Science from the National University of Singapore. His internship was at ESI, where he conducted research on climate change finance, modeling of climate targets and emissions trading schemes.
