A geophysicist, Felicia has conducted fieldwork in the Faroe Islands, the Spanish Cantabrian foothills, the Pyrenees and all across the UK. Her research interests are in energy resource characterisation, remote sensing, natural hazard modelling, seismic imaging and rock mechanics.
She received her First Class Honours undergraduate degree and Master of Science in Geological Sciences from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine. While at Imperial, she was awarded the Liversidge Scholarship, the Imperial College Scholarship and the Murchison Medal & Prize. She thereafter pursued a DPhil in Earth Sciences (Seismology) at the University of Oxford, funded by a partnership between government and a resource company consortium. She was a recipient of the UK’s Overseas Research Student Award and served on the graduate committee of St Edmund Hall as Secretary.
