SYNOPSIS

With their total energy demand forecasted to grow by almost two-thirds over the next two decades, the ten countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) are set to become a significant game changer for the global energy landscape. Therefore, the Energy Studies Institute (ESI), National University of Singapore, is pleased to organize this workshop on Energy Efficiency Prosperity in ASEAN to look into the role of energy efficiency in transitioning to a sustainable energy system in ASEAN, with a particular focus on the prospects of the ESCO (Energy Services Company) market.

The Workshop is scheduled to take place on 11 September 2018 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. In collaboration with the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) energy working group, this workshop will be co-located with the 52nd Meeting of APEC Expert Group on Energy Efficiency & Conservation and the 51st Meeting of APEC Expert Group on New and Renewable Energy Technology, hosted by the Ministry of Energy of Thailand over 10 -14 September 2018.
