Global Warming and Financial Fallout of Auto Giants - Two Crises; One Promise?
In the words of Barrack Obama, our planet is in peril. The challenge of global warming is coming at a time when the world auto giants – producers of gas guzzling cars, which contribute significantly to carbon emissions – are suffering their most severe financial fallout. The two crises have come at an interesting crossroad for environmentalists and big business and throws into sharp focus the future of the green car.

A Greener Singapore: Sustainable Mobility
The small, highly urban Singapore with its high percentage of daily commuters is one of the best places worldwide for sustainable mobility based on electric vehicles powered by clean energy. While most countries do test bedding with cars not yet in the market, Zeco decided to use German electric scooters with proven technology in the US, Europe and Japan.

Global Warming and Financial Fallout of Auto Giants - Two Crises; One Promise? (cont …)
Every crisis offers an opportunity. And these two crises could well offer a tantalizing prospect to redefine the global auto industry to make it greener and better. But will it make the industry leaner and more profitable?
This presentation traces the evolution of the green car till present day and questions its relevance and potential for a greener world amidst the current global financial turmoil. Also, this presentation will present how renewable green power will catalyze the evolution of transportation. The key to efficiency and sustainability is an integrated system which combines V2G (vehicle to grid), G2V (grid to vehicle), energy storage (battery), electric vehicles, solar, wind and others.
A Greener Singapore: Sustainable Mobility (cont ...)
Besides new electric vehicles, the setup of convenient plug-in infrastructure to charge electric vehicles is a crucial component for the success towards sustainable mobility. Solutions call for the setup of the whole system consisting of clean vehicles, charging and clean energy production.
The presentation will address the challenges of shifting from a society focused on petrol vehicles towards vehicles run entirely on electricity generated by clean energy. Zeco, as a pioneer initiative in Singapore, is committed to delivering the world’s first zero emissions transportation system – electric scooters fuelled 100% by a clean energy charging network.
