About the Seminar

Southeast Asia ’ s first nuclear power plant is likely to come on line in 2020. Among the ASEAN countries, Singapore is also considering the viability of nuclear energy for its electricity generation. However, bringing in nuclear energy could pose considerable challenges for the nation. This presentation explores the technology, economics and policies of nuclear energy, and focuses on a multilateral approach that can be used to address the current concerns and issues associated with nuclear energy.
