ESI Senior Principal Research Fellow, Dr Philip Andrews-Speed and ESI Research Associates Ms Ira Martina Drupady and Mr Nur Azha Putra, who are part of the ESI-CIL Nuclear Governance Project’s multidisciplinary team, attended this year’s International Nuclear Law Essentials (INLE) from 20 to 24 February 2017 in Paris, France. The five-day intensive course in international nuclear law is organised by the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the various interrelated legal issues relating to the safe, efficient and secure use of nuclear energy. It accommodates the needs and interests of lawyers working in either the public or the private sector but is also of relevance to scientists, engineers, policymakers, managers and other professionals working in the nuclear field. INLE’s faculty comprises renowned specialists in nuclear law from international organisations, governments, and industry.
