Ms. Melissa Low presented at the Workshop on Climate Change Negotiations for Policy Makers from ASEAN Member States in Bangkok, Thailand

On 2 July 2015, Ms. Melissa Low, Research Associate in the Energy and Environment division at ESI, delivered a presentation on “Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs)” at the Workshop on Climate Change Negotiations for Policy Makers from ASEAN Member States. The event, organized by the Asia-Europe Foundation in conjunction with the French Regional Delegation to ASEAN and with support from the Hanns Seidel Foundation was part of the Regional Forum on Climate Change on “Low Carbon and Climate Resilient Societies: Bridging Science, Practice & Policy”. It was held at the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand.
 
Following the presentation, Melissa co-facilitated the discussion on INDCs with Dr Raman Letchumanan, Senior Fellow at RSIS, Former Head of Environment Unit at ASEAN Secretariat.
 
The closed-door workshop was attended by the ASEAN Secretariat, senior and mid-level representatives from the ASEAN Working Group on Climate Change, diplomats from the ASEAN countries involved in the climate change technical preparations and negotiations and the EU delegation to the ASEAN.
