Melissa Low, Research Associate in the Energy and Environment Division at ESI participated as a panelist in a public dialogue on “Reducing Carbon Emissions: Opportunities and Challenges for Singapore”, jointly organized by National Climate Change Secretariat (NCCS) and Green Drinks Singapore on 15th April 2015. The dialogue was aimed at surfacing low-carbon strategies, technology and other opportunities that Singapore could explore in view of preparations for the new global agreement, expected to be agreed upon by the end of this year. NCCS noted that the dialogue served also to inform national research and policy directions, as well as areas for potential public-private collaboration.
Melissa spoke on the “Outcome of Lima Climate Talks & the Role of Non-State Actors in the Climate Negotiations”.
The other panelists were Mr. Tang Tuck Weng, Senior Director, NCCS and Mr. Lawrence Wu, Director/Co-Founder, Sunseap Leasing.
