On 5 November 2014, Dr. Christopher Len presented at the South East Asia Climate Change & Energy Workshop, organised by the British High Commission in Singapore. One of the objectives of this workshop is to review the current energy outlook of the South East Asian region and examine what it means for energy and political relationships within and outside in this region.
Dr. Len made a presentation on the geopolitics of energy in South East Asia. He spoke about South East Asia’s external energy security challenges, the status of ASEAN Energy Market integration and prospects for an effective ASEAN energy security strategy. The other two presenters were Mr. Florian Kitt, Project Manager for South East Asia at the International Energy Agency, Paris and Mr. Doug Mckay, Vice-President, International Organisations, Shell International Ltd.
