On 31 October 2013, the Energy Studies Institute (ESI) at the National University of Singapore; and the Centre for Non-Traditional Security (NTS) Studies in the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University, co-organised an event titled, ESI-RSIS International Conference on Nuclear Governance Post-Fukushima. This was held in conjunction with the Singapore International Energy Week 2013 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands Singapore.
The aim of the conference was to analyse the impact of the Fukushima nuclear accident on nuclear governance, based on the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA’s) 3S of Security, Safeguards and Safety. The conference report is now available.
