Research Associate (Energy Economics)

The Energy Studies Institute (ESI) is a research institute in the National University of Singapore seeking to advance the understanding of energy policy issues by conducting independent research and analysis. We have a vacancy for a researcher with a good degree in the field of economics. They will join a multi-disciplinary team carrying out research projects in energy economics and policy.

Requirements

  • A good degree in the field of economics or econometrics.
  • A good understanding of the energy sector, especially in the context of power generation, energy markets, and energy modelling.
  • A strong written and oral command of the English language.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Job Scope

  • To assist in research on energy economics topics.
  • Work as part of a team to produce project reports on topics assigned by the Head of Division.
  • Carry out administrative tasks, including the organising of seminars, workshops and conferences, as well as other general tasks assigned by the Head of Division.
